Membership Information
Since 1936, Construction Suppliers Association has provided building material dealers with business management assistance, government affairs representation and educational programs to protect the interests of small independent dealers. Over 70 years later, CSA is still committed to our promise to build strong independent dealers. A dealer member is classified as a business selling to the general public or contractor. We offer the following benefits to dealer members in Georgia and Alabama:
- Government Affairs Representation - Through your CSA membership, you are represented with a voice to state and federal government. In addition to working with our national affiliate, the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA), CSA also works with a lobbyist to ensure our industry concerns are being heard at the state and federal level.
We speak regularly with our lobbyist and legislators regarding issues such as lien laws, the Innocent Sellers Fairness Act, insurance issues, tort reform, bankruptcy reform and tax reform. It’s hard to voice concerns individually, but with CSA, you will be a member of a concerned and proactive industry group.
- Business Management Assistance – CSA provides all the tools needed to successfully manage a small business, from business planning to safety and loss control. If you’re confused about strategic business plans, financial operating ratios, or just have questions about business management in general, the CSA staff is here to help. Consulting with CSA on these topics means an organized and smooth-running business for you.
- Educational Programs – CSA offers throughout the year a wide variety of educational programs for not only owners and management, but staff members of building supply dealers. The more knowledge your staff has, whether its regarding office practices or safety training, the better they will be able to help your customers. Our educational programs are member-driven; we plan programs for our members based on the desire and request from members to have specific programs.
Georgia Members are also eligible to become a member of CSA’s Self-Insured Fund. Please click here for more information.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS – We also offer Associate Memberships to vendors who sell products and services to dealers and wholesalers in the United States and/or Canada. These members receive regular news about CSA and its members, plus the opportunity to advertise services and sponsor programs for members at reduced rates.
