Government Affairs
CSA works with its national affiliate, the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA), to provide a comprehensive program of representation at the state and federal levels. Together with NLBMDA, we ensure our members’ voices are being heard on a variety of hot issues, including the Innocent Sellers Fairness Act (ISFA), materialmen’s lien law, workers compensation, health insurance, tort reform, bankruptcy reform and tax reform.
We know these issues have a significant impact on our members, and we strive to get the latest news regarding government affairs into the hands of our members in a timely matter. When elected officials realize his/her CSA constituents are educated about these industry issues and concerned enough to take action, the reaction from elected officials significantly increases.
Simply voting is not enough, and a strong political action committee complimented by a well-organized grassroots network is provided by CSA. Our political action committee (PAC) endorses and supports candidates for state and federal office who fight for legislation supporting the construction supply industry.
